Separating the best from the Rest in the Coach Hire Industry

There are many Minibus and Coach Operators in the surrounding areas of Fife, Scotland. 


Particularly in Edinburgh. Every Minibus and Coach operator does business differently... If all the companies operated the same there would be no competition or anything that would differentiate each individual company.

What makes A1 Minibus and Coach Services LTD that one step in front of the rest? 


Well, let me explain, Apart from we put our heart and soul into operating the company we are a process based company. This means we have stucture and we have valuable staff members following proceedure noted in our operations manual.

I am very proud and keen to explain as I think it is great for our customer, suppliers and lenders get insight into our operations. This is all the hard work than no one ever sees.

We plan and monitor operations very carefully. However, there is always room for improvement (That is my motto!) but we have worked really hard to make A1 Minibus and Coach Services LTD a professional/competent operating company providing a service to our customers that is second to none!.

Our Directors and Transport Manager are leaders within the company but I have listed below the main sections.

We have 5 Main Sections to our company: 


Sales department - Sales administrator Answer calls to customers and direct the other calls in the correct direction.

Operations Department - Operations Manage takes care of allocating Vehicles and Drivers to all our contract and private hire work, liaising with Maintenance on any maintenance planned or unexpected maintenance requirements ensuring our work is always planned and covered as required.

Finance Department - Financial Administrator takes care of all Credits/Debits within the company.

Stock Control - Stock Administrator takes care of all parts/vehicles being purchased/sold to ensure they are counted for and move through the company being tracked.

Maintenance Department - Maintenance Administrator takes care of the fleet ensuring all safety inspections are scheduled and carried out on time, all defects are noted, prioritised and rectified as company requires.

Head Drivers - Head drivers look out for all Hackney and PSV drivers ensuring all staff are fully uniformed, understand their weekly work sheet and answer any questions they may have. Head drivers also manage changes at last minute and organise drivers and vehicles as required.

Mechanics - Maintain our fleet to the highest possible standard as required.

PSV Drivers - Carry out PSV Private hire and contract work as required.

Hackney Drivers - Carry out Hackney Private hire and contract work as required.

Cleaners - Ensure our Fleet (Exterior and Interior) is kept Clean and presentable for our customers.

All the above staff members contribute towards keeping the Wheels turning at A1 Minibus and Coach Services LTD. Each one of them are as important as each other. Our Drivers are on the front like as they have the pleasure of meeting and greeting all our customers. Sometimes the office staff only have the pleasure of talking on the phone.

Wedding Car Hire: 
Rolls Royce, BMW and Jaguars available.
